The West Fork

 

Tanner took us to this beautiful spot on the west fork of a creek this weekend. The water is shallow enough now that even Jules can get in the middle. Tanner will wade in any river with his waders, but it's a whole new ballgame for Julian to be in the water like that.

Tanner is a great teacher. He's patient, smart, and handsome :)

The fish he pulls out are really pretty too. I love to look at them.

This waterfall is near the spot where we went fishing. The mist from the water was so refreshing, we all just stood by it the whole time.

River is doing better in her car seat; good news because a visit to any family member's house is at least 6 hours :) We can't wait for Mary's visit in a couple weeks. Hurray!

Waterless Baby

 Earlier in the week I put River in this adorable swim suit, only to have her sit in the shade and not touch a drop of water. The smiles she caused made it completely worth it.

Evening Jaunt

We took a quick trip to a nearby creek yesterday. The river was low enough that Tanner could take the boys in and teach them how to fly fish. 

Such a beautiful place. I could go there again and again. We hope you all are enjoying the last few summer weeks!

Going Green, Sort of

 When Liam woke up this morning he picked out this total green camo outfit. He wanted to paint all of his skin green, and got all excited when I confirmed that his eyes were indeed green as well. 

For family night we visited this huge park where a creek runs through. When we got to the park, we realized Liam's earlier clothing idea made a nice evening of, "Where did Liam go?" asked over and over and over and over- well, you can see what I mean:

Julian tried to play a "where is Julian?" game, but the bright yellow hair and Hulk shirt was a dead giveaway.

Here's a River fix for you friends and family. We are loving her to pieces for you.
