Mr. Jay Jay

Julian started his first day of half day Kindergarten, and with that came some pretty cute pictures. I think his teacher will be sick of me by the end of the school year; I plan on hanging around a lot!

Ch-ch-ch-changes

The beginning of this year began a new job in a new state and a new home. We're grateful to be close to our family now, and we try not to miss Montana too much.
We had a week to adjust, and thanks to our amazing family helping us move in, we had hardly anything left to do! So, we played :)
We visited the natural history museum at the U of U. There were all these amazing things to see, and River was drawn to the stairs and halls. Go figure.
This is Dylan and Leah's daughter Lila. These two were the cutest exhibit we saw.
Julian sports his bee-nock-clee-airs and compass at the zoo.

2013

2013 ended with us making moving plans among Christmas decorations. It could have been totally hectic, but we made it a point to keep things simple and try to have patience with each other.

This year Liam asked for a flying helicopter, and Julian asked for a compass :) They loved it!

Good Grief

I made a ginger bread house and donated it to an artwalk in town. It's fully edible and has a legit gingerbread base. Check it out!

food items used: gingerbread, 8 pkgs Big Red gum, red food coloring, powdered sugar & eggs (royal icing), chocolate covered sunflower seeds, licorice, marshmallows and powdered sugar (fondant), & spaghetti noodles. Boiling sugar or soft/ hard candy used for lake and "glue" to hold the sides.
