Belly Bill

Lately, every time Carrie comes at me, my first instinct is to jump as high as I can,

pump my left fist straight up in the air,
and land directly on top of her belly with my right foot.

'Cause, you know... you only have one life to live.

We're freezing up here

This weekend we decided to go fishing. After 20 minutes of the boys watching a pregnant woman put on 5 layers of clothes (including a undersized pink snowsuit), I concluded that most of the entertainment for the day was from my marvelous performance in "Carrie Loves to Struggle to Keep Unfrozen"-pregnant edition.

The pond we visited stays at a nice 55 degrees the whole year so no ice fishing is involved. Liam loved watching his dad catch fish after fish until he realized how uncomfortable snow clothes are and how unfun frozen conditions can be. We spent the last half playing in the car.

After only a few casts, Tanner's brother Cabe fearlessly reeled in his first fish ever: a tender little 6 inch guppie. Tanner and I looked on like a couple of proud parents. We loved having a family member up to visit.

The best catch of the day was the one I caught on the drive over. Make sure your straps are in the car before putting it in overdrive.

Just in Case...

All through Liam's life I have made it a point to snap a shot of what could potentially be Liam's favorite hobby or even occupation. "He's always wanted to be a potato inspector..." I'd picture me saying in 20 years to Liam colleagues while looking at this picture.

Gammy and Grandpa gave Liam this awesome "baketbow" set for Christmas and I am pretty sure he will become an awesome basketball player; he loves to practice every day and can even dunk at times. And, if not, I guess we'll make do with this totally cute picture that shows just how much he loved the game at one point in his life. (Although I'm not sure what I'll do with the potato shot...)

Care's 2nd

Turn up the sound and guess the gender.

The person who is most correct gets to enter a drawing to possibly win a chance to name the child.

Our goal for Christmastime: spread Christmas cheer. I'd like to thank Liam for wearing all these humiliating clothes on behalf of our family's effort in trying to bring a smile to many a people's faces.
