Bronson's Miracle

My mother-in-law sent me this story about a family in Utah who's baby drowned in their tub but survived. It is so touching. Life is short and it's always good to be reminded of the important things that life's all about.

You can read about it here. Make sure to check out the Youtube video they put together of the experience too.

2 Thumbs Up!

Hail, the conquering hero!!

After 6 weeks of 24-hour thumb guards on both thumbs, this 22-month-old has kicked his thumb-sucking habit! Julian's gone 2 weeks without one single sighting and yes, I check him once he's asleep.

We tried in December to break him of his habit but our plan was faulty because we'd give him "breaks" from wearing his guards all the time. Once we'd give him a break he'd go right back to sucking his thumb. I finally learned how to put them on and they were on all the time for 6 weeks, except when we'd wash them in the mornings.

Julian never got too upset when we'd put them on and he'd always say "No thumb, mama."

Never thought I'd say this, but having him cry himself to sleep is definitely a good thing. He used to pop in his thumb and console himself immediately, but now he just wails. Ahhh, like music to my ears! Thanks Leah for your haunting warning that kept me diligent to break Julian's habit!

It's A Family Night Miracle

This morning I came upon Liam "studying the scriptures." I guess our Family Night lesson last night got through to him after all.

The Shacket

I didn't know they were shackets (shirt-jackets) until I put them on the boys and kept trying to get them to not zip them off. I thought the zipper was a cool twist to the shirts.

Tanner says you can't tell I made 'em.

I'm so happy to have a serger! Thanks love!
