Catch of the Day

3 weeks of solitude and meditation, my friend's and husband's continued support and help, and 9 rolls of Christmas ribbon brought this lovely fish costume to our house just waiting to torture Liam for Halloween.

As you go out, you'll be able to tell your costume is a success by simply adding the number of costume contest wins with the number of double-takes and "how cutes". Forty or more... you're a winner.

This was my favorite view. I don't know why it is so funny. Thanks, Liam for another year of silence so that we could decide on yet another costume to torture you with.

I LOVE IT! Way to go Care. This even tops the ice cream cone of last year.

Liam graciously won two contests he attended- we even got a 25$ gift certificate for one of the wins.

One contest was given at the school, and the winner was based on how loud the claps were. When they pointed to Liam everyone cheered and clapped so much that Liam just stood there for a minute and then suddenly began to cry.

That's the greatest costume I've ever seen! Hilarious!

You are mentally insane and I love it. Sadly, we have passed the silent children phase and I'm afraid our years of hilarious themes are over. I guess I can still torture Nash alone for a couple more, though.

Unreal, Carrie. Absolutely amazing. The boys love it too. Did the ribbon alone take you forever?? I've never seen a more elaborate children's costume. Not to mention home made. You continue to claim the spot of "The Coolest person I know."

You should pull this one out again for the new baby in a few years and win some more prize money! Just make entering contests a part time job of sorts, and I'm sure you could reel in the dough.
