Alright, I've just finished priming and painting the main area of the house. Priming and painting a 15 foot ceiling is not cool :) And because the trim was so dark it got three coats. Three! It's ok though- I'm just so excited to be in a house. I'll post pics of the living room after the curtains are finished.
I started on the boys room this week because I was so burnt out on the living room. I still need to do one more coat on the banister. Anyway, here's the before and after:
If you need a bunk bed we recommend Mark at thebunkshop.com. He'll ship anywhere in the country for free! The beds are really solid and you can pick the stain you want. We're totally impressed with their quality.
Mark is also a humble man and a very hard worker that has come up on some hard times. I'm so glad to give our business to someone who really needed and deserved it.
I think I wrote about this, but my friend Lisa suggested that I should organize my toys by sewing some bags with fabric that corresponds with the toys that are inside. Toddlers can even recognize that a car goes in the car bag. It's so awesome!

Holy cuteness, Batman! I love it!!! You are so creative and cute!
The awesomeness of your paint job is exemplified by that very destitute "before" picture. Well done, lass.
So...did you freehand the horizontal lines or tape it like the rest of the world? It looks so fabulous!! Did you make the bedspreads, too? This makes the rest of us want to do a thousand things :)
Fantastic job! It looks so awesome! Love the style, the color picks, the bed, the blankets, the bags on the hooks, the whole bit. You go! :)
Rad! Nice color choice. Not too little-boyish. Just right. I want to to those drawstring bags too...
Hey, those quilts look familiar...Nolan had that on his bed!!! Nice choice. Your paint job is amazing.
Thanks guys!
Mom: The white stripes are two different sizes of frog tape. Everything was taped- I'm not that good :) I didn't make the quilts, although I might make some matching ones some day.
Lisa: That's so funny! After looking for quilts forever I decided those were the best look and deal.
Super cute Carrie! It looks amazing. Can't wait to see the rest of the house.
I love the bags. Robbie wants me to make him a batman bag just like those ones. Can you send me a tutorial for them IF you followed an online tutorial to make them?
It will be fun for us to come and check out the deer (and new house!) in Montana!
