Brookings, OR

Tanner's parents are serving a mission right along the Oregon coast, so we went for a visit with the rest of the fam. Some highlights:

• Driving 32 hours total with the boys (seriously, the boys were great :)
• Finally seeing the coast for the first time with the boys
• Driving over "fridges" (i.e. bridges in Julian talk) and through tunnels
• Spending time with Adam's family and most of Tanner's. We missed you Nicolden!

I hope their mission gets extended or they hop right on to a second mission somewhere... Regardless, I'd love to visit Brookings again sometime. Now, back to the house and kids!

Branching Out

I'm gonna go out on a limb, but woodn't you say redwood trees are amazing?

Of course, you'll have to pack up your trunk and leaf your house, but it's worth it.

Happy Tannerverscarrie

Our anniversary landed on family night this year, so we just grabbed the boys and took them along. We kept pretending to ignore them, but having a 3 year old by a raging river does kind of distract you...

When you're on a nature walk with boys, everything is a potential weapon or is about to be blown up.

I was down at Julian's level taking a picture of something when he fell and stood right in front of me. I quickly said "Say cheese!" and that was the picture I got. Bless his heart!

At the end of the trip and with the kids snoozing in the back I said to Tanner "Happy Tannerversary." He replied back just as fast with "Happy Anniverscarrie." We were totally meant to be.

Julian's 70's Do

Out of amusement and sheer tiredness we were watching the Lawrence Welk show last night (have you seen that brass section play?). As we watched I noticed a similarity between Julian and one of the dancers:
