Tanner's parents treated us to some awesome hiking at Zion's National Park and Bryce Canyon this past week. This picture is during our hike to Angel's Landing. It is pretty cool because it ascends 1500' and is 5 miles long. This point is about 2 miles up and is right before you have to start using chains to hike the rest. This is also the point where I commanded that Liam not go up any further!

Thanks to the encourgement of Tanner's parents, and their offering to hike Liam back down, we were able to hike the rest of the way to the top. You can see the chains needed to help the hikers... on the other side a drop off to the bottom.

It was so awesome at the top. You can see the tiny road that kind of puts into perspective how high up we were. We had so much fun with this hike- I think it was because it was so satisfying to know you hiked the whole way up from the bottom. We would love to do it again.

We also hiked at beautiful Bryce Canyon. We had a great time hiking here because of the awesome rock formations we saw. I was so happy to be outside and with my family-check out my stride!!

"Mossy-wait no, Icy Cave- no..... lover's cave..."

Liam was so much fun to bring and did awesome as we hiked him around everywhere. He was extra cute in the little backpack and drew in attention from the other hikers. At one point we passed some foreign hikers. One of them looked at Liam and said, "Hey little clime-Ber." We all laughed- it was a fun time.

Have you no heart for those of us who are internet challenged? I mean - really. 7 pictures?? My poor dial-up just about fainted. There's STILL one I don't have... None of this is - of course - your fault, but I'll holler at you all the same. AND I might as well add that the babe in the backpack to get attention trick is a good one. Super cute kid!
Dial up still exists? Pfff. Anyways, what I wanted to say was: YOU GO GIRL! You totally OWN Bryce Canyon. I got lost there on our 4th grade trip.
Did you find that caveman there?
I love these pics. I think Mary hiked that with Rob and the pics she showed us were crazy...steep cliffs, chains!?
Good job, brave little clime-Bers.
