Spring-Loaded

We went to visit a wildlife refuge park today, and the first thing the boys did was pick up toy stick guns.
Their immediate response to seeing a woodpecker or goose was a natural surprise or awe.
Their next response, almost as instantaneous, was a rat-tat-tat from their wooden guns.
Genuine excitement from a little boy who has been looking forward to spring for so long.

Yes! It's Spring!!! If only the weather would read the calendar and obey. Isn't it amazing how many things that sticks can become. I love the boy's expressions in the pictures. Priceless!

Oh, no! There's a baby in a plastic bag trying to escape from Jules' backpack! Quick! Suffocation risk!

I have fuzzy buds all over my trees and I want to kiss every single one of them.

Remember our hike in Park City and we could hardly walk because all of the boys had an armful of stick weapons? Boys are rad.

Fun time! Can't wait to see their faces when they come to the ocean!
Julian looks cute in the puffy coat!

Oh! I wish my boys were there too. Who is the third boy waving from the transformer bag? It isn't Flat Stanley, is it? It still looks chilly out there, so any sign of spring gets a big thumbs up, right Liam?
